Original Promotional piece for the Caprice Classic
Now for a break. Any one who knows me understands why I am posting this. What a great ad featuring the Caprice Sports Sedan, The Estate Wagon, The Caprice Convertible, and the Caprice Four Door Sedan. In my life, my family has owned every version of this rig, culminating with an exact version of the convertible alive and kicking today. I recall the Estate Wagon had a cool feature in the back where the gate folded down into the well and the window rolled up creating a huge opening big enough to stuff a moped in the back (which I once did).
Another Mitsubishi with a Spoiler… this is getting tiresome
OK, another dude with a Mitsubishi with a spoiler? We’re starting to spot a trend here… can someone enlighten our readers? What’s the connection?
Happy “A” Go Go Bar
You gotta love and respect our friends in the Military for they are well known for recognizing and appreciating a Sweet Rig. Take this for example. Sweet Rig regular reader, Major Ben, pulled this picture out of his personal archive. Story goes he and his buddies where traveling through Bratislava (that’s Slovakia folks) and came across the corporate rig of the Happy “A” Go Go Bar. I know it’s hard to see folks, but the painting on this Cadillac is a full on shot of the hind quarters of one of the many fine entertainers you’re likely to see if you visit. I just wish Major Ben had the opportunity to see who was actually driving it or if there was a car seat in the back.
The babysitter gotta new spoiler
Ah another classic from Sweet Rig reader Major Ben. Tells me one of his babysitters recently purchased this car with the spoiler included. While Major Ben tried to convince this young college girl that this is a feature worth keeping, apparently having this removed was the second order of business after getting new plates, a sticker and registration for the glove box. Major Ben has a great eye and true appreciation for the rig and we look forward to his next contribution.
