Well, this sums it up. I was out running the other day and found a reminder of a fallen icon in the street. The pride of Sweden is being to laid to rest as we write these words. What the hell happened? I remember back in college (mid 1980’s) we took my buddy’s parents Saab 900 on spring break to Aspen. The Saab ruled. Everyone out there drove a Saab. Hell, even the cops drove Saabs. Back then, the ride meant instant respect. In the 90’s, the Saab 9000 was kind of cool, but in the end they fell out of favor with consumers. Most likely the result of being a brand under GM.
We expect this will create killer opportunities for the Sweet Rig crowd. We hope to one day cross paths with a Saab sporting a bad ass spoiler, sweet paint job and a hood scoop. In the meantime, rest in peace Saab.
