Here is the first of a trifecta of Indiana rigs for y’all. I honestly think that the state that calls itself “America’s Crossroads”, or “The Crossroads of America”, or some other combination of “Crossroads” and “America” maybe the greatest SR hotspot I’ve seen. There appears to be enough of an economy there to support the automotive ‘tinkering’ we find so amusing, but not enough serious dough to finance more high end rides, which I, for one, find, well, dull. Like the comma.
Anyway, this baby was at a dealership, and the salesman came out of the shed pretty quick when he saw me showing interest in this beast. I beat feet before he could get too close. (I always have a bad reaction to menthol and “Trump: The Fragrance.) But you know the big problem with custom rigs like this is that they hold absolutely no resale value. (see “Dorks of Hazzard) What are the odds that someone is going to be rollin’ by and shreik: “Just what I’ve always wanted, a four wheel drive El Camino, done up in a stomach clenching pro-American finish complete with hood scoop”. Well normally those odds would be slim to none, in Indiana I’d say they’re about even.
